These have been in force since January 4th, 2022 and regulate the approval of chemical substances in tattoo inks or permanent make-up. A large proportion of all tattoo inks on the market are affected by this. The tattoo inks on our website are therefore marked according to their conformity with the Tattoo-REACH. We also provide you with information on the current status of the individual color series and Tattoo-REACH.

Our 100% biodegradable products such as clip cord covers, machine covers and bottle covers are made from PLA (polylactide) and PBAT (polybutene adipate terephthalate) or synthetic polymers and are therefore completely biodegradable and compostable, meaning they break down in nature without leaving any residue within 180 to 360 days.

What is PLA?

PLA falls into the category of synthetic polymers because the material is artificially produced in the laboratory. Unlike conventional plastic, PLA is considered a so-called "bioplastic" because it is made from renewable raw materials: PLA consists of corn starch and lactic acid and therefore meets the criteria of renewable biomass. The molecular structure of PLA is biodegradable and compostable.

What is PBAT?

Polybutyrate (short for polybutyrate adipate terephthalate, or PBAT) is a biodegradable and compostable bioplastic according to EN13432 with similar properties to LDPE. The bioplastic PBAT is made from fossil raw materials. Its compounds with starch (GMO-free) and/or polylactic acid have up to > 30% bio-based carbon content.
